Come on along and listen to The lullaby of Broadway The hip-hooray and ballyhoo The lullaby of Broadway

The rumble of a subway train The rattle of the taxis The daffydils who entertain At Angelo's and Maxie's

When a Broadway baby says goodnight It's early in the morning Manhattan babies don't sleep tight Until the dawn

Goodnight, baby Goodnight, milkman's on his way Sleep tight, baby Sleep tight, let's call it a day

Listen to the lullaby Of old Broadway

When a Broadway baby says goodnight It's early in the morning Goodnight, baby Day is done Time to say goodnight..

We're in the money, we're in the money; We've got a lot of what it takes to get along! We're in the money, that sky is sunny; Old Man Depression, you are through, you done us wrong!

We never see a headline 'bout a breadline, Today's papers won't show you that; But we're in the money, we're in the money; We've got a lot of what it takes to get along!

We're in the money, that's what we're here for; We're in the money, let's spend it, lend it, roll it, pour it, on a spree!

We're in the money, come on, my honey; Let's lend it, spend it, send it rolling around!

All bundled up in our linen An' 'acin' fun a-plenty, we're richer than Rockefeller, We're in the money, we're in the money; We've got a lot of what it takes to get along!

42nd Street is a Broadway musical that premiered in 1980 and is based on the 1933 film of the same name. The musical features a book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble, and music by Harry Warren and lyrics by Al Dubin.

The story follows Peggy Sawyer, a young dancer from Allentown, Pennsylvania, who travels to New York City to audition for a role in a Broadway show. After a mishap, Peggy is given a chance to join the chorus and eventually rises to become the show's star. The musical is set during the Great Depression and features classic songs such as "Lullaby of Broadway," "We're in the Money," and "42nd Street."

42nd Street is known for its high-energy dance numbers, extravagant costumes, and lavish sets. The original production was directed and choreographed by Gower Champion and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. The show has since been revived several times on Broadway and has been performed in theaters around the world.

In addition to the Broadway productions, 42nd Street has been adapted into a feature film and a television movie, and has inspired numerous regional and international productions. It is considered a classic example of the Golden Age of Broadway musicals, and continues to be beloved by audiences today for its catchy songs, dazzling choreography, and feel-good story.
